Celebrating Pride Month through Art at The Artist Tree West Hollywood
The Artist Tree hosts poignant art exhibit to celebrate Pride month.
West Hollywood, CA – June 17, 2021 – In honor of Pride Month, The Artist Tree cannabis retail and art spaces are hosting a special art exhibit, Pride, featuring the work of several notable West Hollywood and Los Angeles based LGBTQ+ artists, including SKÜT (aka Scott Lewallen), Emily Eizen, and Kelly Perez. The exhibit began on June 11, 2021 and will run until mid-July at the Artist Tree’s West Hollywood and Los Angeles (Beverly Blvd.) locations.
All artwork on display is offered for sale, and 10% of the sale proceeds will be donated to the Los Angeles LGBT Center. The Pride exhibit presents a diverse and inclusive view of LGBTQ+ issues. Artist SKÜT is best known as the co-founder and original designer of the dating app Grindr. He infuses the colors of the LGBTQ flag into his rainbow artwork “as homage to LGBTQIA+ history, honoring the trailblazers who came before us, and representing a full spectrum of race, gender, equity, and spirit for the movement.” Eizen and Perez are also local artists who fuse the cultures of cannabis and art to promote freedom and equity.
The Artist Tree’s three destinations for art and cannabis exploration provide unique venues for artists to display their works and to comment on current events. The Artist Tree is also honoring Juneteenth by donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every Artist Tree preroll on June 19, 2021 to
“As a member of the greater Los Angeles community, we feel a responsibility to give back to the community and to encourage our customers to do the same,” says Lauren Fontein, co-founder of The Artist Tree.
The Artist Tree was created by Lauren Fontein, Aviv Halimi, Avi Kahan and Mitchell Kahan. The team built The Artist Tree to celebrate art and community, while providing a welcoming place for people to enjoy cannabis.

in West Hollywood and there are 2 additional Artist Tree stores in Los Angeles (Beverly Blvd.
and Koreatown).
The Artist Tree is also opening additional retail locations in Riverside, El Sobrante, and Oxnard within the next 12 months.
“The Artist Tree will enhance your perception of the arts and change how you experience cannabis,” says Fontein. “Constantly changing art displays and the best cannabis products available are integrated with interactive educational hubs throughout the space. Shopping with us is an immersive experience unlike any cannabis retail location in California.”
The West Hollywood cannabis retail and arts space houses a dispensary and delivery service, a rotating gallery of local art, and a cannabis learning center. The most striking education hub is the beautifully designed Cultivation Learning Center, a 10 x 15 enclosed glass room containing live cannabis clone plants. Guests are encouraged to walk through the glass cube and visualize the entire craft cannabis production process with cloned plants, led by The Artist Tree’s cultivation guides.
The flagship retail store offers a variety of cannabis products – vape cartridges and topicals, edibles, CBD wellness products, craft strains, premium concentrates and pre-rolls. Featured brand products are showcased in secured custom display tables designed to allow The Artist Tree’s certified Guides to assist customers with walkthrough consultations and product interaction. Interactive touch pads for ordering products are positioned throughout the retail showroom with built in product and brand information. A secondary sales area and lounge is available for private consultations and personalized concierge experiences for individual guests or small groups.
The Artist Tree’s other Los Angeles locations feature similar museum-esque environments with open floorplans, industrial detailing, ecofriendly concrete, split face basalt, and inlaid glass sections throughout the interior. The spaces were designed by LEED certified architectural firm, Retail Design Collaborative.
The Artist Tree’s three retail and art spaces are open daily from 8:00 AM – 9:50 PM. The Artist Tree offers delivery and express pick up, accepting online orders at TheArtistTree.com.
